You Touched Me Without Words

Standing in line so deep the end might not exist.

Trying out my patience in the holiday madness.

You keep catching my eye.

Even though I really try

Not to see anyone.

I steeple my hands in silent prayer.

May the line move so I can get out of here.

You mimic me. Slight grin on your face.

Laughing now, yes, life is great.

Your expression says not to be so serious.

Take life as it comes. Be ubiquitous.

I have to agree. Wisdom from a child of not quite two.

You touched me without words. Thank you.
