Sweeping the Floor; A Metaphor for Life

Sweeping up the debris into tiny piles.
Into the dustpan the piles go.
Dumped into the trash.

Sweeping up the debris.
Almost done, but wait!
Someone ran through the pile,
I have to sweep again.

The debris is scattered differently this time.
I still sweep it up.

It's all gone,
for now,
the floor is clean.
